Milan Mazúr’s artwork in the gallery points out the layers of the current culture of sharing both written and visual information, through which we convey our thoughts. The viewer can thus see certain elements referring to the web platform that is the source of inspiration not only for Milan Mazúr but also for many artists who, by surfing the Internet and appropriating ready-made images, form their own, often critical, view of society in the form of a visual expression balancing on the borderline of video, design or materialized matter of the virtual environment.

It can be said that after ten years of group activity he is returning to independent creative work which, however, is logically marked by the creative synergy of Guma Guar. Mikuláštík’s politico-socially committed stance is highly important for his mark.

Václav Magid’s artwork balances on the edge of artistic practice with a strong theoretical and curatorial point of view. Because of his theoretical activity and his artwork that is based on drawing and painting techniques reflecting post-conceptual methods, he was asked to make an exhibition in the Altán Klamovka Gallery. His artwork typically examines the limits of fine arts on the background of aesthetical experiences.

Roubal’s artwork already has its own specific signature. The content of his artwork is about commenting on socio-political problems and the form of his artwork is about searching for the possibilities of intermedia art. Simple drawings with clearly readable lines are always present and understandable without any lengthy comments. It is the simplicity of the message that is important for understanding Roubal’s artwork.

The exhibition is thus special in how it calms and quiets the viewer’s mind and submerges them into fantasy. Its main point is an intimate experience with a magical gesture of slowing down and giving presence to the present — the only time in which we will find true peace and order. Its name ties into a riddle for a springtime equinoctial ritual: What is whispered on the wind? What is the kiss of fire? What is the secret of the serpent? What lies at the center of the labyrinth? And this exhibition will indeed open shortly after the equinox, so come and try to answer these questions linked to the four elements — air, fire, earth, and water.

Lucie Mičíková has already established her own specific art form that balances between change and immobility. The flow content is hidden under the form that exploits the principles of rotation and is interested in transient objects and collages, with a focus on their material essence. Her exhibition is based on drawings from her two-week residence, during which she concentrated on energy flow, specifically in an olive grove.

Karolína Rossi asks the following question: “How does human imagination work when we know something from other sources only and we cannot actually see it? As an example, she mentions the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean or the universe. It is this inspiration by nature that is behind her thought-out compositions at the intersection of realistic paintings and abstraction.
